ALERT Iowa Emergency Notification System
The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø has replaced the Code Red system with Alert Iowa which is the state's and county's emergency notification system. This is a free emergency notification service that allows local emergency officials to notify ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø residents and businesses by telephone, cell phone, text message, email of emergency situations and time sensitive alerts.
Alert Iowa is used to notify of important issues, including:
- Public Health Crisis
- Emergency Preparedness
- Drinking water contamination
- Emergency Evacuation Notices
- Natural Disaster Response
- Snow Emergencies
- Water Service Interruptions
- Street Closures
- Flooding
Alert Iowa provides weather alerts from the County and allows your to choose how you receive alerts. You can also provide information to help first responders in emergency situations. Your information is private and only used for notifications.
